YAROSLAVL, March 1. /TASS/. The police are searching the office of politician Boris Nemtsov, who was shot dead in Moscow overnight to Saturday, at the Yeroslavl Region Duma, a police spokesman told TASS on Sunday.
Nemtsov’s office was sealed up on February 28 in the presence of employees of the administration of the Yaroslavl Region Duma.
Russia’s Investigations Committee opened a criminal case on charges of murder and illegal possession of arms.
Nemtsov was elected to the Yaroslavl Region Duma with the RPR-Parnas party on September 8, 2013. He was shot dead overnight to Saturday while walking along the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge, just a stone’s throw from the Kremlin. He will be buried on March 3 at Moscow’s Troyekurovskoye Cemetery.
Nemtsov’s aide at the Yaroslavl Region Duma, Olga Vakhrina, said a delegation of lawmakers led by speaker Mikhail Borovitsky would go to Nemtsov’s funeral in Moscow.
