MOSCOW, February 26./TASS/. Кussian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the meeting with the delegation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Thursday that it is essential to normalize the situation in Jerusalem.
"After talks we stated a unified stance that it is necessary to normalize the situation in Jerusalem immediately," Lavrov said, adding that the issue should be solved during direct talks on the final status of the city.
According to Lavrov, Moscow expects to work out ways to overcome the deadlock in the Middle East settlement.
