MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. Moscow believes that the statements by the UK defense secretary on the alleged Russian threat to Baltic states "are beyond the edge of diplomatic ethics," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Thursday.

"The statements by Mr. Fallon are surely beyond the edge of diplomatic ethics," the Russian diplomat said.

"This is an absolutely intolerable characteristic he gave and it was somewhat reminiscent of a last year’s statement by US President Barack Obama who named Russia among his country's three main challenges," he added.

"I believe we’ll find a way to respond to the statement by the UK defense secretary," Lukashevich said.
