MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. Russia's Almaz-Antey defense corporation is expected to feature over 50 samples of its products in models and posters at the International Defense Exhibition IDEX-2015 in Abu Dhabi on February 22-26.
The Russian company, which has been targeted by Western sanctions amid the Ukrainian conflict, is not planning to sign any contracts, deals or agreements at the event in the United Arab Emirates, the press service of Almaz-Antey told TASS on Thursday.
Its products on the display will include S-400 Triumf and S-300 VM (Antey-2500) air defense systems, Buk-M2E, Tor-M2KM, Tor-M2E, Rif-M and Shtil-1 missile systems, Tunguska-M1 rocket station, integrated missile systems Calibre PLE and Calibre NKE, automated control systems and radar stations.
The second day of the exhibition will feature the company’s presentation and also will showcase S-300 VM and Buk-M2E air defense systems.
"Besides the new types of military production, we will show to our potential customers our scientific and technical achievements in the sphere of modernizing the manufactured weaponry, and speak about training foreign specialists into carrying out such works," said the company’s deputy CEO Alexander Zagorodnih, who heads the delegation at IDEX-2015.
As part of plans to expand its foreign trade activities, Almaz-Antey, a key Russian manufacturer of air and missile defense weapons, expects to become the leader in the sphere of maintenance, supplies of spare parts and modernization of earlier manufactured weaponry in the next two years.
The work of the concern’s exposition in Abu Dhabi involves representatives of its seven subsidiaries. The exposition will consist of three theme sectors, the press service said.
