Moscow urges Kiev to continue dialogue with militiamen — Lavrov

"It’s necessary to continue talks instead of pointing fingers at Russia and militiamen," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said

ASHGABAD, February 3. /TASS/. Moscow is calling on Kiev to continue dialogue with eastern Ukrainian militiamen, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said while commenting on a statement by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry that Kiev is expecting Russia to react to the disruption of the Minsk talks.

"I can’t comment on (statements by) representatives of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, they are making many statements, which later turn out to be untrue," Lavrov said.

"It’s necessary to continue talks instead of pointing fingers at Russia and militiamen, it’s necessary to talk with them as participants of the negotiating process and not those who are perceived solely as a supplement to the Contact Group," he said.
