MOSCOW, January 27 /TASS/. Moscow hopes that Western partners will start producing positive influence on Kiev’s policy with an aim to advance peaceful settlement of the Ukraine crisis, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on Tuesday.
"We hope that our Western partners will start producing positive influence on Kiev’s policy with an aim to advance a peaceful settlement to the [Ukraine] crisis. Russia, for its part, will continue doing what it can to achieve that goal in the interests of peace and stability in Ukraine," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The West is trying to replace a serious political process designed to settle the Ukraine crisis by tactics of cynical manipulation with facts, the ministry said.
The statement also noted that the only way to end the Ukraine crisis was to make the Kiev authorities start a serious dialogue with the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) with an aim to find a political compromise, which should be fixed by a constitutional reform suitable to all the parties.
