MOSCOW, January 22. /TASS/. The chief task of Russia’s rocket and space corporation Roscosmos is to ensure parity with or supremacy over the country’s geopolitical rivals, the newly-appointed chief of Russia’s federal space agency, head of the United Rocket and Space Corporation, Igor Komarov, said on Thursday.
“For a state corporation, the task number one is to be the first. The issue of the day is to enhance the competitiveness for both gaining a worthy share of the market and for ensuring parity with and supremacy over geopolitical rivals,” Komarov said.
He called for further international cooperation in manned space flights. “This will make it possible to save resources, which are not infinite,” the Roscosmos chief said.
