MOSCOW, January 1. /TASS/. Two gunmen from a gang which was involved in a terrorist attack on the House of the Press in the city of Grozny, capital of North Caucasian Republic of Chechnya, are killed in Chechnya, the information centre of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee told TASS.

The two bandits were blocked at a private house in settlement Mekenskaya in Nauri district of Chechnya, the committee noted. “To demands to surrender bandits opened fire at commandoes,” the committee said.

“Two bandits involved in a gang led by Tagilov, a warlord of the so-called western sector of bandit underground, are preliminarily identified among killed gunmen. This was found out that this gang was directly engaged in staging the seizure of the House of the Press (hosting regional newspapers, online editions and offices of federal media) and a secondary school building in the city of Grozny on December 4, 2014,” the National Anti-Terrorism Committee noted.

Several servicemen of Russian interior troops were wounded in the special operation.
