MOSCOW, December 31. /TASS/. The creation of a single visa space with Belarus in the absence of border control would be a logical step, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vasily Nebenzya told TASS in an interview.
According to him, Russia and Belarus are currently negotiaing issues of single visa space formation.
“In the absence of border control between our countries this would be a logical measure,” the deputy foreign minister said. “And the mutual acceptance of visas may become a good first step. However, it would be premature to say that this agreement is about to be concluded.”
“As for the development of similar agreements with other CIS states, this issue is not on the agenda so far,” Nebenzya said. “However, along the Eurasian Economic Union formation that envisages, among other things, the freedom of workforce movement, it may become relevant in the future.”.
