New Year dreams can create stimulus for new achievements, Putin says

President Vladimir Putin said he was convinced that society’s consolidation was the key condition for overcoming difficulties and hardships

MOSCOW, December 26 /TASS/. New Year dreams can create a stimulus to new achievements, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the traditional New Year reception in the Kremlin on Friday.

“Working for the good of the Motherland, service to the home country and defending its vital interests has always been evidence of honor and duty. The fact that Crimea and Sevastopol have returned to their family of origin this year proves in full measure how acclaimed these qualities are today,” Putin said.

“It’s not that often when events capable of uniting society take place. It is vitally important to preserve this consolidation in the future and give free play to civil initiatives,” the Russian head of state went on to say.

President Putin said he was convinced that society’s consolidation was the key condition for overcoming difficulties and hardships. “Next year is not going to be easy. We are facing many complicated tasks, and we are going to solve them without failure,” Putin said.
