MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. The task to rearm the Russian army and navy by 30% by 2015 has been fulfilled ahead of schedule, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said in an interview with the Argumenty i Fakty weekly newspaper.
“Fulfilling the president’s task to bring the share of modern armaments to 30% in 2015 and to 70% in 2020, make our army an exemplary one, we clearly realize: expenditures should not lead to degradation of the economy,” Rogozin said.
“By the way, the task about 30% was fulfilled already by July 1, 2014,” he said.
Rogozin said it is important that the military see the quality of supplied equipment grow and the number of complaints decrease.
