Investigators identify militants who staged Dec 4 attack on Grozny

MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. The investigators probing into the December 4 night-time attack on the Chechen capital Grozny have managed to identify all militants, Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said.

“Investigative Committee chief Vladimir Bastrykin, currently in Sochi, has been briefed on progress in the investigation of the December 4 night-time attack against police, military, civilians and organizations in Grozny,” Markin said.

“In the clash that followed, the militants killed several police officers and barricaded themselves inside the House of the Press and a nearby school. The special operation in Grozny lasted for several hours. All attackers were killed and identified. The raid left fourteen police and two civilians killed and caused heavy material damage to individuals and organizations, estimated at 70 million rubles," he said.
