Russia’s federal budget to post surplus of 1.9% GDP in 2014 — Putin

MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Russia’s 2014 federal budget will have a surplus of 1.9% of the GDP, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the annual news conference.

“Despite the turbulence on the financial marketб this year’s federal budget will have a surplus, with incomes exceeding spending by 1.2 trillion rubles. That’s approximately 1.9% of the GDP,” he said.

Russia’s GDP grew 0.6-0.7% over the ten months of the year, Putin noted.
