MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. The tenth convoy of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations loaded with humanitarian aid for Donbass will set off from the town of Noginsk outside Moscow to the southern Rostov region, the ministry’s spokesman told TASS.
“Today (on Thursday) at 06.00 Moscow time 35 trucks loaded with foodstuffs and New Year presents for residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions are to set off from the Emergencies Ministry’s Noginsk centre,” Alexander Drobyshevsky said.
The tenth convoy with humanitarian cargo will be formed up in the Rostov region where trucks from other Russian regions are expected to join those from Noginsk.
“A total of 150 trucks will make up the convoy delivering 1,500 tonnes of humanitarian aid - foodstuffs, medicines, building products and New Year presents,” he said adding that the convoy would leave for Donbass “when ready.”
Starting from mid-August, nine convoys have delivered to Donbass about 12,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid.
