MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. Russian State Duma (lower house) Speaker Sergey Naryshkin on Wednesday urged Europe to get rid the continent of “disgraceful” external pressure.

“I believe that we, Europeans, must get rid the continent of disgraceful external pressure and decide our fate ourselves without advices and orders of the states located thousands of kilometers far from us,” Naryshkin said.

Membership in the PACE of such countries as the USA and Canada “is not the reason for considering this European organization Euro-Atlantic”, he said.

Moreover, this gives no grounds for “behaving like a boss,” Naryshkin said. “Without paying any contributions, they enforce their interests and only stir European countries, ruin and weaken Europe,” he said.
