MOSCOW, December 12. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday discussed the Israeli-Palestinian settlement by telephone.

Lavrov and Kerry agreed to continue contacts, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The telephone conversation was held on the US initiative. “The foreign ministers of both countries praised prospects for the Palestinian-Israeli settlement and stressed the need to take coordinated measures for contributing to the soonest resumption of the negotiating process based on the generally recognized legal base,” the ministry said.
