MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. The incident over detention of a jet with Russian crew in the city of Kano, northern Nigeria, is purely technical and will not affect the development of Russian-Nigerian ties, Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

“On December 8, mainly thanks to effort taken by the Russian Embassy in Lagos, the situation over detention of a jet Antonov An-124 with Russian crew in northern Nigerian city of Kano was settled,” the diplomatic agency said. “We believe that the incident is purely technical and will not affect gradual development of Russian-Nigerian friendly relations at all.”
