Russian paratroopers for the first time landed in Serbia to prepare for joint anti-terrorist drills, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. Six Il-76 strategic airlifters also participated in the operation. In total 75 Russian servicemen and two airborne infantry fighting vehicles BMD-2 were landed. A representative of Defense Department added that the troops from both countries proved to be highly cooperative and coordinated during the exercise. The Ministry of Defense reminded that the active phase of the drills will begin on 14 November at the Nikinci test site.
