MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Winners of Russia's first online media prize named after former NSA contractor Edward Snowden will be announced at a ceremony in Moscow on Friday, an event organizer said.
The Russian Association of Electronic Communications told TASS that 83 applications from companies and 62 applications from Russian journalists had been received for the Internet Media Awards.
The prize "evaluates the main achievements in the modern media," organizers said.
The winners will be selected by a jury headed by Alexey Venediktov, the editor-in-chief of the Ekho Moskvy (Echo of Moscow) radio station.
The awards ceremony will take place as part of the Russian Interactive Week-2014 forum.
