MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. Russian Supreme Court will try a Prosecutor General’s Office lawsuit to designate Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra as terrorist organizations on December 29.
“A court session is set at 10am Moscow time (7am GMT) on December 29,” the court press service told TASS.
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, also known as the Islamic State, is a terrorist organization operating in Syria and Iraq. The terrorist group was formed in Iraq in 2006 when 11 Islamic groupings led by a local al-Qaeda branch merged together. Jabhat al-Nusra is also a terrorist grouping linked with al-Qaeda.
