MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. Chechnya’s head Ramzan Kadyrov has declared that one of the leaders of the Islamic State, Tarkhan Batirashvili, calling himself Abu Omar al-Shishani has been liquidated.
“The enemy of Islam Tarkhan Batirashvili, calling himself Abu Omar al-Shishani has been killed. The same will happen to anyone who may dare threaten Russia and the Chechen people. It will happen to anyone who will be sheding Muslims’ blood. Allah is Greatest!” Kadyrov said on his official page in Instagram.
“We are dealing with that. We have good guys who can move to any part of the world where bandits threaten our country. I have already issued orders to find that criminal and send him there from where he will never return,” Kadyrov said then.
Al-Shihani, a Jordanian of Chechen descent, moved to the United States for permanent residence about 35 years ago. Up to that moment he had resided in the Jordanian town of Zarqa, which has a large Chechen community. In 2002 he was arrested in Detroit for with false bank cheques.
Kadyrov argued that the IS is a terrorist organization on the payroll of Western secret services.
“I would ask one and all not to call them Islamic State. They are Shaitans (devils, evil spirits) and their sole obsession is to grab as much money as they can lay hands on. They are acting on orders from the West and deliberately exterminating Muslims,” the press-service of the Chechen leader quotes Kadyrov as saying.
He urged the IS chief to recognize he works for the US intelligence. "Otherwise they must be wiped out,” Kadyrov said.
