BEIJING, November 10. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will on Monday attend the 22nd meeting of the heads of state and government of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum opening in Beijing, whose first day will be dedicated to contacts with business circles.
Putin will in particular speak at the APEC business summit section dedicated to the significance of the Asia-Pacific region (APR) for Russia.
Then the Russian leader will meet with members of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) and take part in one of its sessions. ABAC is the key dialogue mechanism between the state and business in the APEC framework.
The Beijing summit’s agenda focuses on maintaining the positive dynamics of APR development in conditions of instability in the global economy.
APEC leaders are expected to adopt a declaration after the summit, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.
