MOSCOW, November 4. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev congratulated all Russians on the National Unity Day which the country celebrated on November 4.
“Russia is a multinational country. And the unity for us is the foundation of a calm, well-to-do and worthy life. To live with the feeling of pride that we are Russians,” he wrote on his page in social network Facebook.
This posting on Medvedev’s page has already gained more than 1,500 likes in an hour after it had been posted. Medvedev’s subscribers also congratulated each other on the Day of National Unity in their comments.
The holiday of National Unity Day was established in Russia in 2005 in honor of dramatic events in 1612, when second militia guided by Kuzma Minin and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from foreign invaders.
