YEKATERINBURG, November 2. /TASS/. Russia’s Emergencies Ministry has confirmed the death of two persons in the crash of a private Mi-2 helicopter in Yamal, northwest Siberia, on Sunday.

Earlier, a source in the local police told TASS that two dead bodies had been found at the crash site.

“The Mi-2 helicopter was found in a lake. The cabin is sunken while the tail is over the surface. Two people who were onboard the helicopter died. They are being identified. No more persons were hurt,” a spokesman for the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s regional department said.

Helicopter was owned by a senior official of Gazpromneft oil refining company, a source in the local police told TASS.

The helicopter was making an unsanctioned flight, the source noted.
