Rosatom says detention of Vadim Mikerin in US may be of political character

The Russian embassy in the U.S. confirmed to TASS earlier on Friday that Mikerin had been detained last Wednesday

MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation does not rule out detention in the U.S. on October 29 of TENAM Corp’s head Vadim Mikerin is of a political character, the corporation’s representative Sergei Novikov told TASS on Saturday.

The Russian embassy in the U.S. confirmed to TASS earlier on Friday that Mikerin had been detained last Wednesday. He is being charged with economic offences.
