KEMEROVO, October 26. /TASS/. All miners were taken to surface from the Zarechnaya mine in the Kemerovo region, Western Siberia, on Sunday, the regional main emergency department said.
The smoke filled the mine located in the town of Polysayevo. “A total of 136 people worked in the mine during the incident. All people were taken to surface,” the department said.
Local fire-fighters and rescuers continue to work on the spot. Thirty-eight people of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and eight units of equipment have been involved in the rescue operation, it said.
