MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. Speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergey Naryshkin has expressed hope for cooperation with the Ukrainian Rada after the parliamentary election in Ukraine due on October 26.

"In recent months the dialogue between the parliaments of the two countries has practically been broken off; all our efforts to restore the channels of contact with the Ukrainian side have regrettably been blocked,” Naryshkin said.

"Nonetheless, I would like to hope that the situation will change, and we will be able to find common points for cooperation and shake hands, for instance, at a first meeting of the Contact Group, created on Russia's initiative in the venue OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for the deescalation of the Ukrainian crisis," Naryshkin said.

Early parliamentary election is to take part in Ukraine on Sunday.
