House arrest requested for airport employees in Falcon jet crash case

MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. The investigators have requested house arrest for the trainee of the air controllers’ department Svetlana Krivsun, and air controller Alexander Kruglov of Moscow’s Vnukovo airport who were on duty during the crash which destroyed the French Total oil company jet killing chief executive Christophe de Margerie and the plane's crew of three, press secretary of the Basmanny court Anna Korotkova told TASS on Friday.

The investigators requested detention in custody for the chief engineer of the airport’s service, Vladimir Ledenev, who was in charge of snow-clearing works at the time of the incident, and flights director Roman Dunayev, who was in charge of the air traffic at the time of the tragic crash.

On Thursday, Moscow’s Basmanny court put under arrest Vladimir Martynenko, the driver of the snowplow that entered the runway, causing the Falcon jet crash.
