Rogozin urges attention to reinforcing border near area of hostilities in Ukraine

MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has called to pay special attention to reinforcing the border next to the area of hostilities in the south-east of Ukraine.

“Bearing in mind the situation on our western borders, special attention must be paid to the border with Ukraine, its Crimean section, of course, and the security of border guards and customs personnel at the border checkpoints, in particular, along the line of contact with the area of hostilities in Ukraine that may last indefinitely,” Rogozin said at a board meeting of the Federal Border Security Agency Rosgranitsa on Thursday.

At the same time, Rogozin said that financing of border infrastructures would not be increased. “There will be fewer money to fund plans and projects. A very rational approach must be taken. You can see well what sort of situation there is around the country,” he said.
