Moscow hopes elections in Ukraine will be held by democratic principles

Russian observers would participate in a broad mission organized by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Russian Foreign Ministry said

MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Moscow is hopeful that parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be held by democratic principles, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

“We believe that oncoming parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be held on democratic principles and will aim to stabilize the situation,” Alexander Lukashevich said. “We expect the composition of Verkhovna Rada to create conditions for cooperation with the Russian Federation through parliamentary bodies.”

Lukashevich said that Russian observers would participate in a broad mission organized by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
