Commuter train hijacked near Moscow

The perpetrator escaped from the scene, and the hijacked train collided with another train

MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. A suburban commuter train was hijacked from a railway depot near Moscow on Monday night and clashed with another train, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.

"The unknown hijacker escaped from the site of the accident," the spokesman said adding that two front carriages of both trains were damaged.

No one was injured in the accident which caused no train traffic delays, the spokesman said.

Police are searching for the hijacker, he added.
