Soldiers will be equipped with digital portable radio stations that are “not inferior to foreign analogues”

MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. Russia is developing a next generation communications system that will outdo all foreign specimens by all characteristics and will be unrivaled in the world, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Maj.-Gen. Khalil Arslanov said.

Arslanov, who is also head of the Russian armed forces’ Main Communications Department, said “a research and development project has been launched to create a radio communications system of the next generation that will have no analogues in the world and will substantially surpass all specimens in the arsenal of foreign states”.

Besides, he added, soldiers will be equipped with digital portable radio stations that are “not inferior to foreign analogues” and outdo them by range, anti-jam protection and other characteristics.
