Putin, Italian PM confirm agreement over discussions on global issues at ASEM summit

MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday confirmed his agreement to meet with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at the ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting) summit over international issues, including the situation in Ukraine.

In a telephone conversation, Putin and Renzi “exchanged views on preparations for the forum due to be held in Milan on October 16-17 and the upcoming contacts within different formats,” the Kremlin press service said.

“They confirmed the agreement to meet during the summit over prospects for developing bilateral relations and key international issues, including the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East,” the Kremlin said.
