Putin holds meeting with Russian Security Council members - spokesman

The meeting involved Dmitry Medvedev, Valentina Matviyenko and Sergey Naryshkin, Nikolai Patrushev and his deputy Rashid Nurgaliyev and Sergey Ivanov

SOCHI, October 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday held a briefing with permanent members of Russia’s Security Council, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“The matters discussed include ISIL, Ebola, Ukraine and the United States,” Peskov said, adding that “the permanent members of the Security Council also congratulated Vladimir Putin on the birthday” he celebrated a few days ago.

The meeting involved Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, speakers of both houses of parliament Valentina Matviyenko and Sergey Naryshkin, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev and his deputy Rashid Nurgaliyev and Kremlin administration chief Sergey Ivanov.

The Foreign, Interior and Defense ministers, Sergey Lavrov, Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Sergey Shoigu, Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov, Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) chief Mikhail Fradkov and permanent member of the Russian Security Council Boris Gryzlov also attended the meeting.
