MINSK, October 9. /TASS/. The active involvement of US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland in the dialogue between Kiev and militias in the south-east will not be useful, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday.
“I don’t want to comment on what Victoria Nuland said (in Kiev) because this official played a very harmful role on all stages of the Ukrainian crisis,” Lavrov said.
“I believe that her active involvement in this process between the Kiev authorities and militias will not be useful for achieving the result, which was being sought by everyone, to ensure lasting peace and start a political dialogue,” Lavrov said.
