“It is the highest degree of cynicism to hear US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland hold yet another briefing for the authorities in Kiev regarding the policy they should pursue. At this very moment active consultations are in progress between punitive battalions of the National Guard and the emissaries of radical Islamists who have already committed heinous crimes in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria who are now involved in the fighting near the borders of Turkey and Lebanon,” Zheleznyak said.
The senior legislator said Russia is against such double standards.
“We are against such cynicism in foreign policy. We are against individuals and whole peoples being held hostage of such political gambling and we shall be pressing for the most thorough investigation,” he promised.
