Putin, King of Jordan to discuss bilateral ties, Middle East settlement in Moscow

MOSCOW, September 30. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is due to meet on October 2 with King Abdullah II of Jordan, who is arriving in Moscow on a working visit at the invitation of the Russian leader, the Kremlin press service said on Tuesday.

“During the high-level talks, the sides are expected to consider the issues of bilateral cooperation, including the prospects of fulfilling joint energy, infrastructure and agricultural projects on the territory of the Kingdom with the participation of Russian companies,” the statement says.

The parties are also due to exchange views on a range of regional issues, including the situation in Syria, Libya and the Middle East peace process.

King of Jordan last week addressed the United Nations General Assembly in New York, calling for a collective strategy to defeat militants targeting Syria and Iraq.
