TASS brand returns

MOSCOW, September 30. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian news agency ITAR-TASS will use the brand TASS beginning October 1, 2014.

The agency returns its historic name known all over the world — TASS, which is not an abbreviation.

The brand of the oldest Russian news agency is a symbol of professionalism, enthusiasm and commitment to maintain and develop its best traditions.

The agency is named TASS or Russian news agency TASS beginning October 1.

The name TASS and its new brand will be used in the Internet, in printing, in advertising materials and souvenir products.

The transition will be completed until the end of 2015.

TASS marked its 110th anniversary on September 1, 2014. It has the largest network among Russian news agencies. It has 70 centers and bureaus in Russian regions and 68 representative offices in 63 countries. The agency issues 100 informational products in six languages — Russian, English, French, German, Spanish and Arabic.
