MOSCOW, September 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin met in the Kremlin on Thursday with Milorad Dodik, the leader of the Bosnian Serbs and president of the Republika Srpska /Serb Republic/ entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Putin said that the trade, which is rather modest at present, between Russia and the Republika Srpska was on the rise and relations “are developing with success.”

The Russian president said that elections would be held in the republic in a short span of time and added that recently Russian regions had conducted the “largest elections in the history of modern Russia.”

“An intra-political situation begins to grow heated in the run-up to elections,” Putin said. “Nevertheless, ordinary routine work follows them.”

“I hope we will work together as we have done before, taking into consideration the business and constructive relations that our countries have enjoyed,” the Russian leader said.
