18 Russian tourists hurt in road accident in Egypt

CAIRO, September 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Eighteen Russian tourists were hurt in a road accident in Egypt late on Wednesday, a spokesman for the consular department of the Russian embassy in Egypt told ITAR-TASS.

The accident took place on a highway linking the resort cities of Hurghada and Safaga. A bus with 39 Russian tourists was on its way back from Luxor when it rammed a parked truck with its lights off. The highway section was unlit too. Two Egyptian drivers were killed in the crash, twenty people, including 18 Russians were injured. The injured were taken to a hospital in Hurghada. So far, no information is available about their health condition.
