Ten Russian tourists hurt in road accident in Turkey

The accident took place at 18:00 local time (19:00 Moscow time) on the Antalya-Kemer highway

ANKARA, September 17. /ITAR-TASS/. Ten Russian tourists were hurt in a road accident in Turkey, Russian consul general in Antalya Alexander Tolstopyatenko told ITAR-TASS on Wednesday, adding that the tourists had received minor injuries.

“The accident took place at about 18:00 local time (19:00 Moscow time) on the Antalya-Kemer highway, near the resort settlement of Beldibi,” he said. “According to preliminary information, the driver of a bus with 22 Russian tourists lost control of the vehicle, which ran off the road and fell on its side. Ten people were hurt, five of them sought medical assistance.”

“Medics said none had serious injuries. One man had a fracture of clavicle. A six-year-old child was taken to hospital with cuts. Two have already been released from hospital,” he said.

An investigation is underway.
