ASTRAKHAN, September 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Companies that make investments in the development of border-crossing stations will be able to get tax preferences, Russia's Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin stated.

When declaring open a session of the State Border Commission, Rogozin said, "Amendments (to legislation) envisage the possibility of rating investors' actual expenses on the construction and reconstruction of the facilities of border-crossing stations as expenditure which diminishes taxable profit". The Vice-Premier added that an appropriate bill on amendments to the Tax Code had been prepared by the Russian Ministry of Transport.

Rogozin remarked that the border-crossing point at Koltsovo airport in Yekaterinburg had been one of the first border-crossing stations equipped at the expense of a private investor. Forty-nine facilities are being fitted out at seaports and ten at airports within the framework of public-and-private partnership, the Vice-Premier added.
