MOSCOW, September 08. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree liquidating the Regional Development Ministry, the Kremlin press service said Monday.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at the meeting with Putin earlier on Monday that the ministry's functions will be distributed between the Economic Development Ministry, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities and Culture Ministry.

The Regional Development Ministry was established in September 2004.
