MOSCOW, September 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and Kyrgyzstan are set to boost cooperation in the energy and trade-economic spheres, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Erlan Abdylbayev said after a meeting with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Thursday.
“In recent years, Kyrgyzstan and Russia have been developing an active political dialogue in their relations, contributing to the solution of various problems,” Abdylbayev said.
According to him, the sides at the talks discussed a broad range of issues on boosting cooperation in the energy, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres to mutual advantage.
“The issue of the Kyrgyz Republic’s integration into the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union was high on the agenda,” the minister added. “I’m certain that today’s talks will boost the development of Russian-Kyrgyz strategic partnership relations."
