UFA, August 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Firefighters have extinguished a fire at the Bashneft-Neftekhim oil plant in Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan, in which one person was hurt, a regional Russian Emergencies Ministry branch told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
Twenty-seven firefighters and 14 vehicles are now working at the scene.
Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim, a Russian oil refining company, was founded in 1957. It produces about 60 items, including various types of petrol, fuel oil, aviation fuel, liquefied gas and aromatic hydrocarbons. The company refines about 6 million tonnes of oil annually.
