MOSCOW, August 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s major air carrier Aeroflot denied media reports that passengers infected with Ebola virus arrived on its aircraft, the company’s press office said on Wednesday.

The company described the reports as “artificial distortion of facts” and said it was observing the situation with Ebola and other fevers’ outbreaks and spread special instructions among the employees in case a passenger aboard has Ebola symptoms.

Russian customers’ rights and well-being watchdog Rospotrebnadzor has intensified sanitary control at the International Sheremetyevo airport as transit passengers passed the airport from West African airports. Aeroflot did not operate flights to West African countries affected by Ebola outbreaks - Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria, the press office said.
