The criminal case against Udaltsov and Razvozzhayev — over the preparation for the organization of mass riots in various Russian regions — was filed after checking the materials in the film “Anatomy of a Protest-2” that was aired on NTV channel and that contained materials about a meeting of Russian oppositionists with Georgian politician Givi Targamadze.
According to investigators, these meetings focused on discussing the plans to organize mass riots. The coordinator of the Left Front and Duma MP aide were the initiators of the plans, and Targamadze provided the financing.
According to the case materials, 85 people are aggrieved persons in the case and it comprises 90 volumes.
Udaltsov is under house arrest, and Razvozzhayev is under arrest. They are facing punishment of up to 10 years in prison. They have not admitted their guilt.
