Putin signs law to restore winter time in Russia

MOSCOW, July 22. /ITAR-TASS/. President Vladimir Putin has signed a law to restore the winter time in Russia.

A decree to this effect was made public on the legal information portal on Tuesday. On July 9, the Federation Council, upper house of parliament, unanimously approved the law to bring the winter time back.

Moscow time is set with the appropriate third time zone in the national time scale UTC (SU)+3. The law also reinstates 11 time zones in Russia.
