Moscow metro restores traffic on line affected by Jul 15 accident

The works continued for three days, in the course of which the Moscow municipal transport authorities ran a supplementary substitute bus service with stops by the stations of the affected line

MOSCOW, July 19 /ITAR-TASS/. Traffic was resumed late night Friday on Moscow metro’s Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line (marked with the blue color on the metro maps) following the urgent repair works in the wake of a major accident, which occurred July 15 between the Park Pobedy and Slavyansky Boulevard slations and claimed the lives of more than twenty people.

“Scheduled traffic has been restored and all the emergency repair works have been completed,” a spokesman for a committee monitoring the repairs said.
