MOSCOW, July 15. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia insists that the Kiev authorities and Ukraine’s south-east should cease fire and start a dialogue, Russia’s Foreign Ministry says.
The ministry commented on the results of Tuesday’s meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasian and Chinese Ambassador to Moscow Li Hui. The meeting was held on the Chinese initiative.
“Karasin and Li Hui exchanged views on major issues, including on the situation in Ukraine. Russia informed China about its initiatives for promoting the peaceful resolution of the Ukraine crisis,” the ministry says.
“The parties confirmed the commitment to the Geneva agreements and the Berlin Declaration of July 2. Ceasefire and dialogue are priorities for deescalation in Ukraine,” the ministry says.
